Dan's Obituary Page

      This picture was taken at our cousin Robert's house on Thanksgiving 1999.  Dad & Mom were up from Florida and our family came down from SFOT (Bubba was a first year Cadet at the time and came down with the rest of the family)

Daniel W. Stetser, Sr., of Swedesboro, NJ, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, June 29, 2002, 

at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Camden, after a lengthy illness.

 

Rev. Stetser was born in Philadelphia and resided in Swedesboro since 1988.

 

He graduated from West Deptford High School in 1967 and received Bachelor Degrees in

Pastoral Ministries and Theology from Penn Wesleyan College in 1972.

As a licensed minister he pastored churches in Ohio, Cape May, Millville and Levittown, PA.

In more recent years, he served as a teacher at the Lake Garrison Sunday School.

 

He was a member of Olivet Wesleyan Church, Glassboro.  He was a former member of the

Bonsal Blues Band and the Parks & Recreation Committee of Swedesboro.

 

As an avid sports fan he ran one of the most popular websites devoted to Boxing.

 

Predeceased by his mother Isabelle, he is survived by his loving and devoted wife,

Marsha L. (nee Walburn), his daughters, Jennifer Mooney and Estella Stetser of Swedesboro,

his son, Daniel W. Jr. of Carneys Point; his father Lynn and stepmother Edna of Brooksville, FL;

two brothers, Gordon of South Dakota and Bruce (PB) of New York; three grandchildren and a son-in-law.

 

 Friends and family members had calling hours at the Olivet Wesleyan Church,

Heston Road and Main Street, Glassboro, New Jersey, where the

“Dan’s At Peace Celebration” (“funeral”) was held.
